CIIBISTCIIURCH. Thursday, April 12. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—Thomas Purdoc and Mary Brown were each fined 10s. An inebriate, who appeared for the first time, was fined ss. Sheep Stealing.—Robert Sharpe, farmer of Yorktown, was charged on warrant with . stealing twenty-five sheep, the property of J. Brabazon, Waimakariri. Qn the application of the police, accused was remanded until Saturday, to be admitted to bail, himself in £2OO, and two sureties in £IOO each. LYTTELTOX. Thursday, Apiul 12. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness. —James Lynclen, arrested by Constable Moutray, was charged with this offence. The sergeant superintendent stated that accused had been convicted six times since January last. The accused pleaded very hard to he allowed one more chance, and lie would clear out. The Bench remanded tho case for twenty-four hours, and said if accused did not keep his promise he might look for a long term of imprisonment. Civil Cases.—Cuff and Graham v Kershaw ; claim, £8 17s ; judgment by confession, with costs 10s. Pearson v Robinson ; claim, £ls ; adjourned for one week.
