Steerage —Mrs Adams and four children, Messrs Lmklater, Curtain, Naughton. CLEARED. April 11—Taupo, s.s., 461 tons, Carey, for Dunedin, via Akaroa. SAILED. April 10 —Flying Squirrel, ketch, 19 tons, Munro, for Akaroa. April 10I—Margaret, 1 —Margaret, ketch, 31 tons, Bennett, for Little Akaloa. April 11—Taupo, s.s., 461 tons, Carey, for Port Chalmers, via Akaroa. Passengers —Saloon , Mr and Mrs Edwd Self, Mr and Mrs Kelcher and two children, Mr Bergren. The s.s. Taupo, from Wellington, arrived at 9.30 this morning. She sailed for Dunedin, via Akaroa, in the place of the Wauaka, at 1 o’clock to day. A ship and barque from the South were signalled this morning but no numbers were up when onr express left port. ENGLISH SHIPPING. The Carnatic sailed from Madeira, for Lyttelton, on January 17th. The Margaret Galbraith passed Portland on January 22nd ■ landing tue pilot that d.-y. __ j The Piako -mded her pilot oil' the Start, Feb. j 10th. . , „ , Shaw, Savilie’s now ship Hcrmione leit tor Otago on lelnuary Stir. The Prime, ri, 099 tons, was loading for this port when the mail lelt. The tonnage on the berth lor the Australian Colonies was 37,289 tons when the mail left. There was a good demand for first-class iron vessels of moderate size, for berth loading in London for Australian and New Zealand colonics.
