Good Friday at Lyttelton. The trains to Port were yesterday crowded with pleasure seekers from Ohristchurch. The Titan proceeded to Bhodes' Bay with a picaic party in connection with the Wtaleyan choir, and the Akaroa to Pigeon Bay with excursionists ; whilst the steam launch Lyttelton had to call her well known towing powers into nquisition before she could manage to convey all her patrons to their destination. The harbor was crowded with boats, the beautifully calm sea inviting even the most timorous to a pull or sail. Many parties climbed the hills, and eDJoyed a long scramble, while others sought the beach, Quite a hundred must have travelled round Cass's Bay.
