Austrelitz won the Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase, COMMERCIAL. The stock market is agitated, owing to the political suspense during the week. Consols 96^ Australian securities are firm; bank discount two per cent. The money market is stronger. Wheat is inactive. INTERPROVINCIAL, HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATION IN DUNEDIN, Wellington, March 26. The barque Herman, from New York, arrived yesterday afternoon, with 800 tons of cargo, chiefly kerosene and Yankee notions. A third portion of cargo is for Lyttelton, whither she will sail after discharging. H.M.S. Sapphire arrived early this morning, having come under sail from Port Chalmers. Dunedin, March 26. At a meeting of the Medical Association, held on Saturday night, it was resolved — “ That this Association affirms the necessity of hospital accommodation being in readiness for the reception of persons suffering from scarlet fever, small pox, or such epidemic diseases as are likely to occur in maritime ports.”
