PRICE OF BREAD.

'To the Editor of the Globe

Sir,-—I observe in your issue of yesterday a sub leader referring to the exorbitant price of bread as compared with the price of flour. 1 fully endorse your remarks, and to prevent any difference of opinion as to what the price of flour really is, I may say that it can be purchased at £l2 10s in Christchurch of guaranteed quality, while flour made from grown wheat can be purchased at £lO. If any of the bakers caro to dispute the above quotation for flour, if they call at your oiiice you cau give them the name I enclose of a trader who is selling flour at the above prices.

Yours, &c, A BREAD CONSUMER.
