The Eastern Question. From the cable telegrams published elsewhere it will be seen that the Eastern question is still in a very unsettled state. Turkey continues to arm and so does Russia. The latter Power also withdraws from the Treaty of 135t>, unless tho other Powers co-oppiate to obtain the acceptance by the Porte of tho original programme of the Conference. Cricket.- -A match was played last Saturday on Latimer square between the Albert and Press Standard'clubs. The former were, the first to handle the willow, but they made ?ery poor scores against the boyiicg of their opponents ; the innings closing for 24 runs. The latter club played very carefully and were not disposed of before they had reached 54 runs. In the second innings of the ormer, they made a still worse show than in heir first innings, owing principally to the good bowling of Fisher, and their innings closed for 18, of which number the extras contributed 8. It will thus be seen that the Press Standard won in one innings, with 12 ruaa to spare.
