This society is formed on the basis of several of the largest and moat successful Co-operative Societies in England, for the purpose of supplying its members and tbe general public with articles of domestic consumption and general utility, at the lowest possible prices, and at a great reduction. The advantages derived by Shareholders consist in obtaining their gooes at a much reduced cost, and participating in the profits of tbe society.
Any person desiring of benefiting by the society’s arrangements must be qualified by taking a £2 share, 10s to he paid on application, 10s in one month, 10s in two months, and 10a in three months from the date of application, which will allow their attendance at all tfce meetings of the society. The premises of the Company in Christchurch to be arranged by the Provisional Directors, REGULATIONS, Persons wishing to become members arc particularly requested to road the following : I.—Payment All articles purchased, cither of the society or of the firms in connection, must be paid for at or before the time of purchase, and no exception to this rule will be allowed. 2 Remittances— Ail orders sent by post must be accompanied by a remittance, unless previously paid to the society’s credit at ary of the branches of the Dank . Post-cfiico Orders and cheques should be crossed and made payable to the order of the Manager. 3. —Deposit Accounts, Depositors so desiring may open accounts with the society for rums not loss than £5, which accounts will be debited with theamount of each order. Orders againstdepcsitaccouuts must have the words “ Deposit Account ” written upon them. Deposit accounts cannot be overdrawn ; depositors are therefore requested to keep an account at home, to avoid disappointment. 4. —Order Forms— Orders shall in all cases be made out on the forms issued by the society. Separate orders mast be given for each department when sent by post. Order-books for this purpose are issued by the society. 5. Particulars to be given on orders — The depositor’s name must be inserted on every ordir form, and if the goods are to be sent “the address” must be distinctly written on the back of each order. 6. Packages for the Count: y Will be delivered free of cost to the Railway Station, from whence carriage must be paid by the consignee, and all goods will be delivered free within two miles of the society’s stores. 7. Execution of Orders— Orders up to 11 o'clock e.iu. will always, so far as practicable, be despatched the same day.
