CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, February 23. (Before G. L. Lee, Esq, J.P.) Drunk and Disorderly.—Two inebriates who appeared for the first time were each fined ss. Patrick Collins for being drunk and using obscene language was fined 10s. William Galvin was fined ss. LYTTELTON. Friday, February 23. (Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Absent without Leave. —Charles Fielding was charged by Captain Llily of the barque Hopeful with this offence. The Bench ordered the accused on board. Stowaways, —William Macready and John Climen were brought up charged with stowing away on bjard the s s Wakatipu on the trip from Port Chalmers to Lyttelton. The Bench sentenced the accused to one week in default of paying double fare. Abusive Language, Honora Davis charged Mary Barker and Mary Barker charged Honora Divis with this offence. The Bench after hearing evidence dismissed both cases.
