IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. Imports. a return of the value of the imports at the several ports of New Zealand for the quarter ending December 31st appears in the *• Gazette.” The total value was £1,645,464, as compared .with £1,833,656 for the corresponding quarter of 1875, The total imports for the year 1876 were valued at £6,904,889, as compared with J£8,029.172 ‘ E for 1876. The trade of Lyttelton, has however, remained as nearly as possible stationary; there being only a tailing off of one pound in the value o( goods imported during 1876 a ,compared with 1875. Exports, The value of goods exported during the quarter ending December 31st, was £1,201,759, as compared with £1,039,105 for the corresponding quarter of 1875. The total goods exported during 1876 were valued at £5,626,333 as compared with £5,828,627 for 1875.
