Monday, February 12. For Akaroa and Otago, per Taranaki, at 11.25 a.m.; late letters, 11.45 am.; railway station, 12.25 p.m. train. For Northern Provinces, per Wanaka, at 1.45 p.m. ; late letters, 2,5 p.m; railway station, 2.30 p.m train. Malls per -irawata will close as under : For the United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, at 1.30 p.m. ; late letters, 1.50 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, India, China and the East, Seuz and Mediterranean Ports, &c, &c, at 1 p.m; late letters, 1.20. For Otago and Australian Colonies, at 1.30 p.m; late letters, 1.50 p.m. For money orders, noon. For registered letters, noon. For posting book packets and newspapers, 12,30 p.m. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van, Christchurch Railway Station, up to 2.30 p.m train, provided such letters bear in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee. For Kaikoura and Wellington, "per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. Tuesday, February 13. For Wellington and Nelson, per Eingarooma. On and after Monday the 12th instant a Post-office will be opened at Phillipstown, and Mrs Elgington has been appointed postmistress. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
