♦ Friday, February 9. Mails per Rotorua will close as under:— For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 11.30 a.m. ; late letters, 11.50 a.m. For the Continent of Europe, America, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands,at 11 a.m ; late letters, 11.20 a.m. For Sydney, at 11.30 a.m; late letter, 11,50 a.m. For "Northern Provinces, at 11.30 a.m. ; late letters, 11.50 a m. For money orders, 10 a.m. For registered letters, 10 a.m. For posting book packets and newspapers, 10.30 a.m. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van, Christchurch Railway Station, up to 12.25 p.m train, provided such letters bear in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Taiaroa, at 11.30 a.m; late letters, 11.50 a.m.; railway station, 12.25 p.m train. Monday, February 12. For the United Kingdom, via Southampton, ahd Brindisi, the Australian Colonies, &c. On and after Monday, February 12th, a Post-office will be opened at Phillipstown and Mrs Edington appointed postmistress. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
