CHRISTCHUECfI. Thursday, January 25. [Before G. L. Mellish and Caleb Whitefoord, Esqs, R.M's.] Drunk and Disorderly.—John Norris, arrested for drunkenness, was fined 20s. Soliciting Prostitution. Margaret Clarke, charged with an offence of this nature in front of the Theatre, was fined 20s. iLYTTELTON. Thursday, January 25. [Before W. Donald, Esq., E.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—James Barry, arrested by Constable Bullen, charged with the above offence and also with using obscene language and damaging Government property, was orderod to pay Is Od for damage done and tincd 10s, or, in default, 48 hours'. Ma!colm McKinnon, arrested by Constable Moutray for being drunk and using obscene language, was dned 20s. Assault.—John McDonald, master of the Jannette, was charged by Lacblan Mclnnes, a seaman on board that vessel, with violently assaulting him on Janua y 18th. Mr H. N. Nalder for the complainant. Accused was fined 20s, costs ss, and solicitor's fee, £1 Is. Civil Cases. - Colonists' Society v Gardiner, claim £4 2s, for hire of hall. Mr H. N. N alder for plaintiff; judgment for pfaintiff, with costs 9s, solicitor s fee, £1 Is. Mclnnes v McDonald, claim £7, for wages. Mr H. N.
