The envoys of the European powers met in conference again to-day, and resolved upon the time of the final communication to the Porte. They reassemble on Thursday, and if it is then found that the Porte persists in rejecting the proposal of the powers, the envoys will withdraw from Stamboul on Friday, and return to their respective countries. AUSTRALIA. THE ALL ENGLAND ELEVEN AT SYDNEY. Sydney, January 16. The New South Wales Eleven are all out for 82, Evans made 30. Sydney, January 17In the match Eleven of N.S.W. against the English Eleven, six wickets are down for 140; D. Gregory was not out for 54, 0. Bannerman made 32. The match is drawn. The bluestone centre arch of the new Catholic Church, Tumut, gave way, carrying away the scaffolding. Three men were frightfully mutilated. Wheat is wanted at 5s 5d ; flour, £l2 5s to £l2 7s. Melbourne, January 10. The seamen of the steamer Warnambool have struck work on the question of overtime. W. H. Jupp does not play with the Eleven at Sydney, but accompanies them to New Zealand.
Several midshipmen have been fined £lO each for cutting the hawser of the steamer Kent, at the Sandridge Pier. The gold statistics of Victoria for last year show a falling off of 100,000 oz Adelaide, January 17.
