This Day. Tuesday, December 19. Mails per Arawata will close as under For United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, at 1.20 p.m. ; late letters, 1.40 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, India, China, and the East, &c, at 1 p.m; late letters, 1.20 p.m. . For Otago and 11 (Australian Colonies, at 1.20 p.m; late letters, 140 p.m. Posting newspapers and hook packets, 12.30 p.m. . For money orders and registered letters, noon. , Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van by the 2.30 p. m. train, provided such letters bear, in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
