Zealandia will close as under : For United Kingdom, via San Frf.ncisco and Northern Ports of New Zealand, 9.10 a.m. ; late letters, 9.30 a.m. For America, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, Continent of Europe, &c, at 9 a.m. ; late letters, 9.20 a.m. Posting newspapers and book packets, 8 a.m. For registered letters, 9.10 a.m. For money orders, 9.10 a.m. IMPORTANT. Late letters for mails per Zealandia, can be posted in the guard’s van, Christchurch railway station, by the 10 30 a.m. train, provided such letters bear, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee. For Wellington, Newcastle, and Sydney, per Easby, at 1.50 p.m ; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. Friday, December 15. For Wellington and Nelson, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m; late letters, 2 10 p.m ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per s.s. Hawea, at 8.30 p.m. For Southern Ports of New Zealand, per Wellington, at 8.30 p.m. The delivery window, Christchurch Postoffice, will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. for the purpose of delivering correspondence received by country mails. Applicants are requested to give their address* s in full. All country mails usually closed on Saturday, will be made up for despatch this day, at 8.30 p.m J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
