MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, November 27. (Before G. L. Lee, and H. Belficld, Esqs, J.P’s.) Drunnkenness. —An inebriate, who appeared for the first time, was fined 5s ; James Standeven was fined in a similar amount; John Smith, for being drunk and using obscene language, fined 20s. LYTTELTON. Monday, November 27. (“Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness— Thomas Harrison, arrested by Constable Johnstone, charged with this offence, was fined 10s. Drunk and Damaging Property.— John Jackson, arrested by Sergeant-major O’Grady, charged with drunkenness and breaking a window in the shop of Mr T. McDonald, valued at £1 2s, was ordered to pay for damage.
