Dunedin, November 21. Messrs Cargill and Gibbs have received a cable telegram from Messrs Helmets, Schwartz, and Co, dated 2nd November. The sales opened with a large attendance, and the competition was animated. Prices for fleece, washed and scoured, show an average rise of three-halfpence to twopence ; greasy shows an average rise of a penny compared with the closing rates of last series. The general state of trade is improving. Nov 8.
