Tuesday, November 21. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq, 8.M.) Drunk and Disorderly.—Three inebriates who appeared for the first time were each fined ss, one was also ordered to pay 2s cab hire.
Keeping a House op 111-pame.—The adjourned case against Rebecca Stewart for being the occupier of a house of ill-fame at Avonville, was called on. Inspector Buckley told the Bench that defendant had left the house the previous day. Case dismissed. LYTTBLTON. Tuesday, November 21. (Before W. Donald, Esq, 8.M.) LUNACY prom Drink.—Robert Hudson was brought up on the above charge. Mr Phillips, chief gaoler, stated that the accused had been remanded ■ from Ashburton for medical treatment; he (accused) had since quite recovered. Fined 205.. Doo Nuisance Ordinance. Robert Smith was charged with a breach of the above. The oase had been allowed to stand over, to enable the defendant to produce evidence as to the age of the dog. The Bench, after hearing evidence, dismissed the case.
