CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, November 18, (liefore Dr Back, J.P.)

The Court opened at 11.45

Drunk and Disorderly. —Mary Cunningham, arrested for drunkenness, and who asked to be committed to prison for a few days until she “got off the drunk,” was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment; A. W. Palmer was fined 10s; Mary Manic, who had only been recently released from prison, was discharged with a caution; two inebriates, who appeared for the first time, were lined 5s each; James Kirk and Cornelius O’Connor, who had been remanded for a week on the charge of lunacy from drink, and had recovered, were discharged with a caution.

LYTTELTON. .Saturday, November 18. (Before W. Donald, Escp, R.M.) IVuun k CNN ess. —Johu Priest, arrested by Constable Johnston, charged with the above, was fined 10s or forty-eight hours’ imprisonment.

Assault. —David C. Law was charged by Richard J, Selby with this offence. Mr Nalder for complainant. Case dismissed. Civil Cases. —lluthcr v Ford, claim £6 ss; adjourned from Thursday last. Mr N alder for defendant. Judgmeut for plaintiff With costa Ss.
