The report of tbe commission re the Church Property Trust was not considered ; but a little excitement was created at the first evening’s meeting of the session by a proposal to adopt one of the recommendations of the report. The St. Michael’s scandal received some consideration in the debate on Archdeacon Harper’s resolution. The only real debate of the session occurred on this occasion. The Dean’s proposal to reform the Constitution, after the loss of three or four hours in its debate, was negatived. The Synod also decided, very wisely, to reject the Pension scheme, upon which we offered some comments in our Monday’s issue; and required the Standing Committee to bring down a better-matured scheme for the consideration of the next Synod. The session was brought to a close by a graceful and wellrearned recognition of its clerical secretary’s —the Rev. E. A. Lingard’s—services, for the last ten years—as contained in our report of last night’s sitting.
