POST-OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails per City of New York will close as under:—
For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 9 a.m.; late letters, 9.20 a.m. For Continent of Europe, America, Canada, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, &c, at 9 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, at 9 a.m.; late letters, 9.30 a.m. Registered letters and money orders, Wednesday, 15th, at 5 p.m. Newspapers and hooks at 8 a.m., Thursday, 16 th. Note.—Late letters for City of New York’s mails can be posted in the guards van, Christchurch railway station, by 10.30 a.m. train to Lyttelton, provided such letter bears an additional single rate of postage. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wellington, at 1.50 p.m; late letters, 2.10 p.m ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. Important—lf it can he ascertained that the s.s. Wellington will, on arrival at Wellington connect with the mail steamer, late correspondence will be forwarded accordingly. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
