AMUSEMENTS.
THE LYDIA HOWARDS TROUPE.
There was a good attendance at the Music Hall last evening, when the burlesque of “ Kenilworth” and the operetta of “The Rose of Auvergne” were most successfully performed. To-night “11 Trovatore” and “ Settling Accounts” will be produced. The celebrated Miserere scene will be introduced into the former piece. With such a tempting programme there should be a crowded house; and as the company will only perform till Saturday next, those who have not witnessed their clever performances should avail themselves of a visit during this week. •
THEATRE ROYAL. There was a very large attendance at the Theatre Royal last evening when the good old comedy of “ The Road to Ruin ” and “ Cut off with a Shilliog ” were on the bills. The former went well, but the farce had to be brought to an abrupt ‘conclusion, from a circumstance which we hope will never occur again. To-night there is a grand bill, viz, “Naval Engagements” and “ High Life below Stairs,” which should draw a crowded house."
