The new bathing shed to be constructed in the river near the boat shed will be 150fc long by 46ffc wide. It will be built of wood, with corrugated iron walls. On the east side, facing Oxford terrace, there will be a covered way, with a seat the entire length of the building for the convenience of bathers. The entrance will be on the west side, where there will be a screen Bft high, to shut out observation from Cashel street. At the north end, facing Cashel street bridge, an iron screen, 14ft high, will be erected. There will be no divisions inside for bathers to dress or undress, and as the building is not to be painted, it will present the appearance of a huge unsightly, unfinished, shed, which will by no means tend to add to the beauties of the river-bend at that spot. It is a question whether, as the baths are to be erected only a short distance below the Hospital, this will tend to encourage a large attendance of bathers. We suggest to the Sanitary Committee the propriety of instituting enquiries regarding the daily disctiarge of drainage from the Hospital, which will flow directly through the baths.
