Oct 31—Jannet, ketch, 41 tons, McDonald, for Okain’s Bay. The Waimate, of the N.Z.S. Co’s fleet, arrived in Lyttelton this afternoon, having left London on August Ist. The favourite s.s. Wellington arrived today at 10.30 a.m. from Port Chalmers, after a fair weather passage. A schooner from the South was signalled this morning, and proved to be the Smiling Morn, from Newcastle, she had not arrived at an anchorage when onr express left port. The brig Byron, from Newcastle, arrived to-day, after a passage of twenty-four days from Newcastle.
