Monday, October 23. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. Tuesday, October 24. Mails per Axawata will close as under— For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton, at 1.20 p.m.; late letters, 1,40 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, via France, Italy, or Trieste, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For Point de Galle, India, China, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Reunion, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean ports, America, &c, &c, at 1 p.m, ; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For Otagc and Australian Colonies, at 1.20 p.m. ; late letters, 1.40 p.m. Registered letters and money orders, noon. Newspapers and book packets, 12.30 p.m. Late letters for transmission perR.M.S. Arawata, can be posted in the guard’s van railway station by the 2.30 p.m. train to Lyttolton, provided such letters bear, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
