AMUSEMENTS.
LYDIA HOWARDE BURLESQUE TROUPE. The attendance at the->Music Hall last night was again very large, when the operabouffe of " Girofle-Girofla " was repeated. The piece is now in splendid form, and goes well; the beautiful sparkling music with which it abounds being capitally rendered, and the parts, as a rule, well enacted throughout. We must, however, object to the fcentlenian who played Bolero having the idea that talking, instead of playing the part, was all that was required during the first two acts. This seemed to us rather a strange idea, seeing that the actor in question has, in generalja tendency to over-do, rather than tone down, the parts allotted him. Towards the finish of the piece, however, he began to warm to his work, and the burlesque was brought to a successful issue. Miss Howarde received a most enthusiastic call for her really fine singing of the celebrated brindisi "See how it sparkles," to which she responded. The same programme will be repeated this evening. On Monday Herr Schott will take a benefit, for which a splendid programme has been prepared,
