Fibe AT Waimatb. —The Timaru Herald says—" On Monday, about 12 o'clock noon, the stables of Mr James Lumsden were discovered to be on fire. Several persons collected to render assistance, bat could not succeed in arresting the destruction of the building, and the adjoining outhouse was also destroyed. The stable was an eight horso one, with loft, containing a large quantity of horse feed. The wind blowing from the dwelling house at the time of the fire saved the dwelling from being also destroyed, as the out-building was quite near the bouse. The buildings were not inIBM"
