AMUSEMENTS.

LYDIA HOWARDS BURLESQUE TROUPE. " The Three Musketdears " was repeated last night at the Music Hall, and was a marked improvement upon the first night of its production, showing that all that was required to make it a success was a thorough rehearsal. Miss Howarde again appeared to great advantage in the character of D'Artagan, and sang her music exceedingly well, introducing with great effect, for the first time, "Here upon my vessel's deck," whilst her " K.C.B" drew, as it is bound to do, thunders of applause from the audience. Miss Nye was also in better voice, and sang her music most correctly ; and in the highland fling and hornpipe dancing this lady received quite an ovation on the termination Of each. Mr Towle, who has partly recovered from indisposition, took the part of Buckingham, and was very successful in the character. The duet, with Misa JNavaro, from Don Pasquale " Once again," was very nicely sung by them, whilst Miss Navaro was most cordially greeted for her singing of "Pretty nightingale." This lady was also very pleasing in her enactment of Anne of Austria, looking both in dress and physique, every inch a queen. Mr Cary sang with great effect, and in good voice, that fine and telling song "Man the life boat," for which he was enthusiastically cheered. Messrs Power, Hill, and Herberte were very amusing in their respective parts, whilst the two latter were also very successful in their humorous ditties, each receiving an encore. Miss Ashton, as Constance, and the other members of the company, exerted themselves to their utmost to do justice to their respective parts, and were fairly successful. The same burlesque, with the addition of "The Limerick Boy," will constitute the bill of fare to-night. We perceive that Thursday next is set apart as a benefit night to Miss Solange Navaro, which it is needless for us to say, will be largely attended, as his lady's reputation as an actress since her arrival amongst us, has been the very highest. The pieces selected are " Trial by Jury," and the burlesque of "The Three Musketdears," and will be under *the distinguished patronage of Sir Cracroft Wilson.
