The skull and other portions of a human body were found yesterday in Scully’s Gully by workmen quarrying stone for the Napier harbor works. It was buried about a foot under surface. Supposed to be a Maori. It is evident from the decayed state of the bones, that the body must have been buried there many years. At the volunteer parade last evening a letter from Mr Close was read by Captain Routledge, suggesting that the corps should form a fire brigade.
