Fair attendance. Messrs J. C. Corr and Co report on the live stock market for the week ending Saturday, 16th September, 1876 At our yards at Rangiora on Tuesday 60 head of cattle, 8 horses, and 9 pigs came forward to us for sale. The lots we disposed of as follows— Fat heifers, from £7 2s 6d to £9 ; dairy cows, from £7 to £10; two-year-old steers, from £4 10s to £6. Calves from £2 los to £3 15s. Horses—ordinary light draught, from £ls to £2l; and hacks from £l6 to £25. Figs—Small, from 12s to 15s each. At the Addington yards on Wednesday, 181 head of cattle, 3544 sheep, and 30 pigs, came forward for sale. Our entries there were 20 head of cattle, on account of Messrs Maher, Haskett, and others, and we disposed of the lot as under:—Dairy cows, £9; two-year-old stems, £5 2s 6d; calves, from £2 10s to £3 15s. We quote beef at 32s (id per lOOlb for good quality, and mutton at 2|d to 2,|d per lb.
