AMUSEMENTS.

THE LYDIA HOWARDE TROUPE.

" Kenilworth" was repeated at the Music Hall last night, and went capitally. Miss Howards as the Earl of Leicester both looked and sang with even greater success than on previous occasions, her singing being greatly applauded by the audience. Miss Navaro, as the Earl of Ealeigh, eclipsed her former endeavors to please, giving with great spirit and ardour the favorite airs—" Beware" and "Somebody's courting somebody," which were rccived with warm enthusiasm. Miss Jenny Nye, as Amy Kobsart, danced and sang with her usual success, whilst her broad-sword combat with Varney had the effect of " bringing down the house." Mr Power's Queen and Mr Hill's Varney were both good specimens of burlesque acting, and Mr Towle as the Earl of Essex, although not much of a part to enact, did full justice to it. Mr Alexander as Wayland Smith went thoroughly into the spirit of the part, and played it with much vigor and success, whilst Mr Htrberte was equally as successful in both his singing and acting, receiving an encore for his very humorous singing of " I would if I could," a song capitally suited to this gentleman's voice. The other characters were tilled as before, and well sustained. " The Mulligan Guards" did their march most successfully, sending the audience home in thoroughly good spirits. To-night there will be a change of programme, "The Waterman" and "Ivanhoe" being the bill of fare. In the former Miss Howarde will sing some of her most favorite airs, including that ever popular song, "The Bay of Biscay,"
