Sept. 7 Wellington, s.s, 279 tons, Carey, from Port Chalmers and Akaroa. Passengers—saloon : Colonel Packe, Messrs Knocker, Ringwood, Pierson, Morrison, Wagstaff, Whitley, the Hoskins’ Dramatic Company (18). Steerage-Mrs Morris, Miss Sutherland, Messrs Joss, Jones (2), McDonald, Faulkner, Horton, and 22 for the North. Sept. 7 —Annie, ketch, 14 tons, Holst, from Akaroa. CLEARED. Sept 7.—Wellington, s.s,, 279 tons, Andrews, for Northern ports. Sept. 7—Jane, brig, 160 tons, Delmer, for Hobart Town, in ballast, THE CLEMATIS. The ship City of Dublin, having failed in righting the Clematis, through an insufficiency in the depth of water alongside, Captain Hall, her commander, was compelled to abandon the task of righting her, and went out into the fairway yesterday morning. Mr Cashmore, owner of the ketch, arrived yesterday, and after consultation with underwriters, elected to call for tenders for raising the derelict. Tenders were accordingly issued, to be sent in by 5 p.ra yesterday, and that of Captain E. Woods was accepted, who, with the appliances at his command, will no doubt succeed.
