Friday, August 25. PUBLIC HEALTH BILL. The Public Health Bill was further considered in committee, and an amendment inserted in clause 159, to guard against the use of improper lymph. The remaining clauses with the amendments and schedules were agreed to, and progress was reported. PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE BILL. The Public Trust Office Bill was further considered in committee, and clause 6 postponed. Some discussion ensued as to the power of trustees and expenses incurred in selling land for rates where the owner was not known. No definite decision was arrived at, and further consideration of the Bill was postponed without any material alteration being made. Other Bills were postponed, and the Council adjourned.
