For Wellington and Nelson, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m ; late letters, 2.10 p.m; railway station, 2.30 p.m train. Mails per Arawata will close as under : For the United Kingdom via Southampton and Brindisi at 2.50 p.m. ; late letters, 3.10 p.m. For the Continent of Europe via France, Italy or Trieste, Western Australia, Point de Galle, India, China, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Reunion, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, America, &c, &c, at 2.40 p.m. ; late letters, 3 p.m. For Otago and Australian Colonies, at 2.50 p.m.; late letters, 3.10 p.m. For posting books and newspapers 2.30 p.m. Money orders and registered letters, at 2 p.m. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard's van, Christchurch railway station, up to 4 p.m., provided that such letters bear, in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
