Mails per Arawata will close as under : For United Kingdom, via Brindisi at 1.10 p.m. ; late letters, 1.30p.m. For Continent of Europe via France, Italy or Trieste, Western Australia, Point de Galle, India, China, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Reunion, Katal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, America, &c, at 1 p.m. ; late letters, 1.20 p,m. For Otago and Australian Colonies, at 1.10 p.m. ; late letters, 1.30 p-m. For posting books and newspapers 12.30 noon. Money orders and registered letters, 12.30 noon. Late letters can be posted in the guard’s van, Christchurch station, up to 2.30 p. m., provided that such letters bear, in addition to the full rate of postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee.
