Port Chalmers, August 21. Arrived—The barque Armitage, from Kaipara. The captain reports passing a quantity of planking and part of a deck house off Banks' Peninsula. {From a corespondent of the Press.) Timaru, August 19. Another highly successful bunt took place near Timaru this afternoon. The course was a capital one, although the country was very undulating and the fences on the whole were stiff. The run was the largest yet undertiken in this district, extending nearly ten miles. It was however broken by a couple of checks. About fifty horsemen followed the hounds, and the attendance of spectators was very large, the weather being most favorable for outdoor recreation. The ground was heavy, owing to the rain which fell during the previous night, but the pace was very merry throughout. There were lots of amusing spills. Mr Moore again acted as master,
