MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, August 5. (Before G, L. Mellish, Esq, R.M.) Drunk and Disorderly.— James Gapes, for being drunk and resisting the police, was fined 20s. Two inebriates were fined os each. Illegally on Premises.— William Lambers, charged with being found illegally on the premises of Mrs Brooker, was sentenced to forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. Lunacy from Drink.— J. Graham, who had been remanded for a week, was brought up and discharged, LYTTELTON. Saturday, August 5. (Before W. Donald, Esq, R.M.) Drunkenness. —An inebriate, arrested by Constable Devine, was fined 5s for this offence. Civil Case. —Trustees in estate of Jno. McDonald v J. M. WilliSflns, claim £7 17s 3d ) judgment by default, costs 13s.
