Savings Bank. — During the quarter ended June 30th, the transactions were as follows:—Accounts opened, 2960 ; closer 1 , 2342; number of deposits, 14,714 ; number of withdrawals, 9715 ; amount of deposits, £170,498 8s lid ; amount of withdrawals, £178,636 17s lOd ; excess of withdrawals over deposits, £BI3B 8s lid. Telegraph Department.— The number of telegrams forwarded during the period from March 26th to July Ist was 294,086, being an increase of 48,428 on the corresponding quarter of 1875, The cash received amounted to £16,899 3i 2d, being an increase on the corresponding quarter of 1876 of £2182 Bs. The value of Government telegrams was £416210s 6d,
