POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
This Day, July 28. Mails per City of New York will close as under : For United Kingdom via San Francisco, at 9 p.m. For Northern ports of New Zealand, America, Continent of Europe, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, at 9 p.m. Money orders, at 4 p.m. Registered letters, at 5 p.m. Newspapers and book packets, at 8 p.m. Late letters bearing, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee, can be posted in the guard’s van at the railway station, at 6.50 a.m. Saturday, July 29th. Saturday, July 29. Mails per Arawatawill close as under For United Kingdom, via Efrindisi and Southampton, at 3 p.m;.late letters, 3,20 p.m. For the Australian Colonies, India, China, and the East, Continent of Europe, Otago, &c, &c, at 3 p.m ; late letters at 3.30. For registered letters and money orders — 2 p.m. For newspapers and books, 2.30 p.m. Late letters for the above mail can be posted in the guard’s van at the railway station up to 4 p.m. train, provided that such letters bear, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee. For Wellington and Nelson, per Ringarooma, at 3 p.m; late letters, 3.20 p.m. ; railway station, 4 p.m. For Kaikoura, per Matau, at 3.20 p. m. ; railway station, 4 p.m. J. J.
