Mails per City of New York will close as under : For United Kingdom via San Francisco, at 9 p.m. For Northern ports of New Zealand, America, Continent of Europe, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, at 9 p.m. Money orders, at 4 p.m. Registered letters, at 5 p.m. Newspapers and book packets, at 8 p.m. Late letters bearing, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee, can be posted in the guard’s van at the railway station, at 6.50 a.m. Saturday, July 29th. Mails per Arawatawill close as under For United Kingdom, via Efrindisi and Southampton, at 3 p.m;.late letters, 3,20 p.m. For the Australian Colonies, India, China, and the East, Continent of Europe, Otago, &c, &c, at 3 p.m ; late letters at 3.30.
