Tuesday, July 25. Foi’ Otago and Australian Colonics, per Alhambra at 1.45 p.m. ; late letters, 2.5 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Wellington and Nelson, per Arawata, at 1.45 p.m. ; late letters, 2.5 p.m. ; railway station, 2,30 p.m. train. Wednesday, July 26. For Chatham Islands, at 3.30 p.m. For Kaikoura, per Matau, at 4.45 p.m. Mails per City of New York will close as under : For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 9 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, America, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, &c, &c, &c, at 9 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand at 9 p m. Registered letters and money orders up to 5 p.m. Newspapers can be posted up to 830 p.m. Thursday, July 27. Supplementary mails for despatch per s.s. City of New York will close at 7 a.m. Late letters for the mail steamer can be posted in the guard’s van at the railway station up to 8.45 a.m., provided that, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee is affixed to each letter.
