Mr Travers, for the defendant, agreed to its being settled by the arbitration of Captain Neale. The Bebington passengers are doing well at the quarantine station. The barque Lady Franklin is driven higher up on the bank at Kaipara, and is advertsed for sale by auction. Owing to a rumour in town that the smelling at Henui had been a failure, several shareholders went and interviewed Mr Wbutton at the works. Ho told them hhrul not succeeded in smelting the iron sand, and was blowing Cue furnace out. He re fused to give farther information either to the shareholders or the public, as he says he is only responsible to the directory.
