AMUSEMENTS.
THE LYDIA HOWARDS TROUPE. Despite the opposition at the Oddfellows’ Hall last evening, there was a capital attendance at the Opera Bouffe, when “The Waterman” and “ Chilperic” were very successfully performed. The ladies seemed to be in lar better voice than on previous evenings, and the singing went well, the audience being most enthusiastic in their dc- rods f r repetition. The same programme will be played this evening. “La Sylphidc,” on a most gorgeous scale, is in preparation, and will be produced early next week, the management sparing no expense in the production of this great fairy spectacular drama, which should have a long run, as it has been very highly spoken of in other cities.
