STREET LAMPS.
lo the JEditor of the Globe.
Sin, —Will you kindly allow me space to call the attention of the proper authorities to the exceedingly bad and dangerous state of the Caledonian road, and the very great necessity of erecting a street lamp at the junction of the Caledonian road and North Town belt. I think the time has now arrived when we might look for a better state of tbiogs than floundering through a socalled road, nothing moro than a swamp, more especially when we take into consideration how we have to put up with sucn increased taxation. Can we be expected to put up with this without a mum e . I hope this gont'e hint will not pass unnoticed, as is generally the case, but that the evil complained of may be speedily removed, and that sjme more able pen than mine will take the matter up. Yours, &c, RESIDENT. Chrietchurch, July 14th, 1876.
