Tai Tap lt Jockey Clue,— A meeting of persons interested in the formation of a jockey club was held at the Ellesmere Arms Hotel, Tai Tape, on Monday last. There was only a limited attendance, Mr T. Leathern moved —“ That a jockey club be formed, to be called the Tai Tapu Jockey Club,” which was seconded by Mr R, Little and carried. It was resolved—“ That the annual subscription be two guineas per annum, payable on the Ist March.” It was resolved —“That a committee be formed with a view of obtaining members for the club, to consist of Messrs T. Leathern, It. Little, J, Champion, R. Wallace, and E. Edmunds ; the committee to report to a public meeting, to be held on Saturday, July 29th, ut tjti3 EUesmere Anns.”
