Hobse Killed on railway.—As an up goods train from Lyttelton on Thursday evening had reached the Yankee crossing at Opawn, the eneine struck a valuable mare belonging to Mr Nisbet, butcher, Harper street, which had bolted down the lane and on tp th.e line. The mare was thrown over the crossiug.&nd receded injuries from which she shortly afterwards died,
