Stuart v Bank Australasia, action for £SOOO alleged breach contract, the jury did not agree, and were discharged. The case of F. Sutton v Hera and others, an action to recover possession of lands at Omaoranui, did not go to the jury ; the issues were settled by consent on both sides, and a verdict was recorded for plaintiff, defendants being at liberty to move that the verdict be set aside. At the meeting of the Harbor Board the petition of master mariners for the erection of a colored light on the Spit was favorably considered, and the pilot was instructed to carry out the prayer of the petition. Dunedin, June 27. A Dunedin orchestral association was formed last night, with Professor dale as president.
