Excelsior and Hannah Barrett will be berthed at the Tunnel and No 1 Wharves respectively, to discharge. The Dcsdemona broke bulk at the Gladstone Pier yesterday, and commenced her discharge. No doubt she will proceed with the work with greater rapidity after a. few days. The Witch of the Wave was berthed at the screw pile jetty yesterday. The ba*que Stag was berthed at Peacock’s Wharf yesterday. The topsail schooner Hannah Barrett, Captain Renner, left Wellington at 1 p.m. on June 13th. with strong N.W. winds, which lasted till off Kiikoura on Sunday; passed Cape Campbell at 5 p.m,. June 15th. had light winds till Monday evening, then N.W. winds till arrival at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday. , . . . , . The Phoebe, s.s, Captain Andrew, arrived in harbor j esterday, at 10.30 a m. and was moored at the Gladstone. From Mr Barbor, the purser, whom we thank for Northern files, we learn that the Phoebe left Manakau on the 17th, at 3 p m, arriving off Taranaki t at Sam. next morning. Owing to heavy sea was unable to communicate with the land, so steamed on for Nelson, reaching that port at 4 n.m. 19th, left at 4.30 p m. same day, and reached Picton at 1 a.m. on 20th, sailed 2.30 a.m,, and arrived at Wellington at 8 a m.. leaving again at 3.30 p.m. and arriving here as above. Had S.E, weather from Manakau to Wellington, thence light northerly to arrival. Sailed South at 1.45 p.m, yesterday.
