The wreck of the brig Sarah was offered at auction at Auckland on the 3rd. She was knocked down to Mr McEwen for the sumof£iß3. The buyer at once took measures to proceed to the scene of the wreck with appliances to float her. The ship Milton arrived at Russi'l on .Tun" 3rd with 670 barrels, sperm oil since last June ; total. HmO barrels for the voyage, 32 months out. She reports speaking Ihe biigantine Magellan Cloud, well known at this port, two weeks out, and no oil. Tue schooner Reward, from the Pelorus Sound, with sleepers, arrivedttTimaru on Friday. The ketch Sarah and Mary cleared at Hokitika on. the sthfor this port, with 30,000 feet timber. The barque Victoria left Auckland in ballast for Hobart Town on the 3rd. The schooner Herald made a most remarkable trip from Grey mouth to Wellington. She left the former port about 11 o'clock on Thursday morning, and arrived in harbor at 10 o'clock on Saturday, thus inakiug the run in 47 hours. According to cablegram from Sydney, we learn that the briganthie Walter Glcndinin<r, Captain M'Q>wrrir\ had been wrecked on CaroMne Island, whilst on a voyage from Tahiti with store*. This vessel is s-taUd to belong to Messrs Holder Uros, ot London, and was uninsured. She visited tlii» port, sonv* six months ago, and loft here for Fliut Island on the 14th January. Auckland paper. She brings a cargo of timber. The hchooner Lady Don, Captain T. Clarkson, left. Kaipara on the 31st of May, at Gam. Had light breezes from the south-west, which lasted to 8 p.m. on the 'st of .June; experienced a heavy gale on that day off Stephens' Island, which was passed at midnight. On Juae 4th put into Port Underwood, weather bound ; left agiiin at noon on June 6th; had a strong gale from the north-west off Kaikouras that day; had to put back to Amuri Bluff, which was left again on June Bth. with light winds and calms. Sighted Godley Head at 8 p.m. on June 9tb, the wind blowing hard from the southwest until -Saturday; thence light winds until arrival at 4 am. yesterday. The Prince Alfred arrived at Kaipara on May 27tb, and was to load for this port. The smart little s.s. Wellington; Captain Carey, arrived in harbour at 7,45 am. yesterday. Mr McCormick, the purser, who obliged us with report and files, informs us that Dunedin wharf was left at 7.30 a.m. on Sunday. A stop was made at Port Chalmers to embark passengers, and a final start effected at 10.40 a.m. Came up under easy steam, experiencing light N.W. winds to arrival as above. Discharged 20 tons of cargo and took in 85 tons, going away a full boat, having to shut out cargo. Sailed at 4.40 p.m.
