Akaroa proceeded outside the Heads to ascertain what were the ships signalled, and tow in if necessary. On getting alongsins the ship from South they found it was the Desdemoua, 103 driys from London, all well. Captain Towill not wishing to be towed in, the Akaroa went, along' side the other vessel, which proved to be the Fernglen, from Wellington, took her in tow and brought her as far as Littlu Port Cooper, when there were such heavy squalls from the S. W. that she was forced to anchor there, The Akaroa should, weather permit, tow her further up the harbor this morning. The Desilemona being sdll several miles outside the Herds, and. the S.W. weather being too strong to al'ow any of our local steamers to tow the vessel in, even if the captain wished it, the health olScer baa not yet boarded the ship.
