The barque Planter, coal laden, sailed from Newcastle, N.S.W.. for Lyttelton, on April 28th. The barque Nonpariei, Captain Brent, arrived at Newcastle from Lyttelton on April 25th. The three-masted schooner Fairlie sailed from Newcastle on April 28th, for this port, coal laden. The Wanganui sailed for Port Chalmers and intermediate ports at 3 45 p.m. yesterday. The Indian Chief cleared the Customs yesterday, and was towed into the stream by the s.s. A karna. The Countess of Klntore, ship, was towed to a berth alongside the Euterpe at the Gladstone Pier yesterday afternoon. She takes the Inverdruie’s berth to-day. The schooner Gleaner is shortly expected from Greymouth coal laden. The brig May Flower on the discharge of her coal will load grain for Adelaide, Messrs McMeckan and Blackwood’s steamer Eingarooma, Captain J. M’Lean, with the New Zealand portion of the Suez mail on board, arrived at the Port Chalmers Railway Pier at 6 a.m. on the 7th. Having received the mail per P. O. steamer Bangalore, she left Hobson’s Bay at 1 pm. on the Ist, cleared Port Philip Heads at 3 p.m, and passed Swan Island at 11 a.m. next day; at 950 a.m. on the sth she passed the Solander, and arrived at the the Bluff at 3 p.m. Having 125 tons of cargo all in one hatchway for the Bluff, she could not discharge that evening, and so had to wait at the Bluff all next day, leaving at 5 p.m.; had fine light weather along the coast, and arrived as above. We thank Mr Jago, the purser, for the report and our Melbourne exchanges. Left Port Chalmers on the Bth at 4 30, and arrived in Lyttelton yesterday at 7 a.m. Experienced light southerly winds and fine weather from South. After taking in 820 sacks of oats for Melbourne, and some long-woolled rams for Messrs Bethune and Hunter, of Wellington, she sailed for Nelson and Wellington at 5 p.m. last night. Amongst the Ringarooma’s imports were 10 boxes of gold, containing 50,000 sovereigns for the Union Bank.
